Expect home comforts: tasty, wholesome meals and cosy rooms. Relax in our beautiful country gardens. Enjoy abundant birdlife.

Break Away

Our Manor House has five oversized luxury en-suite bedrooms, all exquisitely themed for guests to enjoy the unique character of each. There is the Bridal suite (the ultimate in romantic relaxation), the Victorian suite, the Indian suite, the Chinese suite and the Egyptian suite.

Our Guest House is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a gazebo and ornamental fountain, dams and forests. Set in the gardens are a further 23 en-suite garden rooms. These may be more suitable for larger groups or family getaways, being located a little further from the Manor.

We can sleep up to 82 guests on the estate.

Calderwood Hall Guest House is nestled in the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg mountains in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands of South Africa. We are just 31kms from the Howick turnoff, on the R617, the Underberg Road (Exit 99 off the N3), just outside the hamlet of Boston, 58 km from Pietermaritzburg Airport (45 minutes), 130 km from Durban (1 hour 55 minutes) and 520 km from Johannesburg (6 hours). The Guest House has Midmar Dam, Howick Falls, fishing, trails, walks, golfing, and paragliding nearby. We'd love to hear from you!
